REV. TITUS CALVIN ‘TC’ ALEXANDER
Jennings - Funeral services for the Rev. Titus Calvin “TC” Alexander, 97, of Jennings, La., will be held at the Grand Marais in Jennings on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. James Townley, Rev. A.L. Lyle, Rev. Kevin Archer, Rev. Mike Phillips, Rev. Steven Pinell and Rev. Gordon Alexander officiating. Visitation will be held at the Grand Marais in Jennings on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. The Alexander family requests visitation to resume on Thursday, at 8 a.m., until the time of his services. The Rev. Titus Alexander will be laid to rest in Creel Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Camp Pearl in Bell, La.
Rev. Titus was born in Bell, La. on April 4, 1917 to the late Calvin and Pencie Alexander. He passed from this life on October 5, 2014. “TC” was pastor of First Pentecostal Church of Jennings for 34½ years. He loved his church and church family. “TC” especially loved spending time with all of his grandchildren. He enjoyed going to auctions when he could. “TC” loved ranching, cattle and horses. He will be greatly missed by all knew and loved him.
Rev. Titus is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Mabel Guillotte Pinell Alexander of Jennings, La.; five sons, Harry (Laquita) Pinell Jr. of Erath, La., Calvin Arlen Andrew (Cathy) Alexander of Jeanerette, La., Jackie Lee (Jessie) Alexander of Jena, La., Ronald (Josie) Pinell Jr. of Baldwin, La., Charles (Elizabeth) Pinell of Hathaway, La.; two daughters, Barbara P. Thibodeaux of Lydia, La., and Delores A. (Jessie) Williams of Topsy, La.; 28 grandchildren; 70 great grandchildren; and 36 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Pencie Alexander; one brother, Elmer Alexander; three sisters, Anna Lee A. Eddy, Ella A. Donahue and Edna Mae Dunnehoo; one daughter, Lois Pinell Firmin; two grandchildren, Junius Thibodeaux III and Harry John Pinell III; one great grandchild, Raven SynClaire Pinell.
Serving as pallbearers will be Reggie Pinell, Ronald Pinell Jr., Titus Alexander, Michael Gosser III, Jimmy Alexander and Joel Alexander.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Pinell, Adam Blanchard, Dustin Thibodeaux and Mark Firmin.
