Funeral services will be held at a 1 p.m., Mass of Christian burial on Friday, November 7, 2014, at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin for Mr. Rodney Anthony LeBlanc, a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, who passed away at the age of 86 on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at the Franklin Foundation Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Fr. Lloyd Benoit will officiate the Mass. Musical selections will be performed by Dexter Thibodeaux. A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday at the church, from 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass, with the rosary being prayed at 12:30 p.m. Interment with Military Honors will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014, at Franklin Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Craig Touchet, Rene LeBlanc, Kenny Moore, Edgar Adams, Larry Dupre and Sidney LeBlanc.
Mr. LeBlanc was a veteran of the United States Army, retiring as Major, as well as Company Commander of the National Guard Infantry 156, having faithfully served his country and fellow man. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to many, he will be greatly missed. He retired from the Cabot Corporation after 38 years of service.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Jeanne Alleman Touchet LeBlanc; four children, Roni L. Moore and her husband, Kenny; Craig Touchet and his wife, Joni; Rene LeBlanc and his companion, Dawn; and Darla T. Martin; three brothers, Lowney LeBlanc and his wife, Bonnie; Sidney LeBlanc and his wife, Yvonne; and Charles LeBlanc; four sisters, Clare L. Vaness, Loretta L. Deville, Dell L. Diamond and Sue L. Chauvin; seven grandchildren, Kendra M. Sinitiere and her husband, Tony; Ryan Touchet and his wife, Angel; Fallon Touchet, Dane Martin, Logan Savoie, Dylan LeBlanc and Ashton LeBlanc; and four great grandchildren, Kenton Sinitiere, Kayle Touchet, Brock Touchet and Maddie Bell.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marian Dantin LeBlanc; his parents, Almic Paul LeBlanc and Marguerite Delicia Belanger LeBlanc; one brother, A.J. LeBlanc; and one sister, Cecile L. Dupre.
