SHIRLEY ESTHER LETIKE GIROIR

Funeral services for Shirley Esther Letike Giroir will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson. She will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Sister Nell Lamury will conduct the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Eddy Lee Giroir, Merlin Giroir, Robin Fabre, Harry Rebardie, Jonathan Miller, and Darren Brown. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday at Ibert’s from 9 a.m. until time of service.
Shirley was a native of Berwick, former resident of Patterson, and a 10-year resident of Bayou L’Ourse. She passed away at the age of 95 at her home on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016.
Survivors include her sons, Eddy Lee Giroir, and Merlin Giroir and his wife Theresa; her devoted longtime companion, Daniel Badeaux and his children, Sandra, Dannette and Travis; nine grandchildren, Monica, Angelia, Holli, Tosha, Kevin, Darren, Mandy, Bridget and Clint; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a dear longtime family friend, Penny Martin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. “Butts” Giroir; her daughter, Carol G. Mayon; her granddaughter, Shanna Blade; and her parents, John Letike and Catherine Willis Letike.
