SIMON ‘MOTTA’ DANIELS SR.

Simon “Motta” Daniels, Sr., 101, a native of Vacherie, LA and a resident of Franklin, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 8:40 a.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital.
“And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.” - Isaiah 46:4
A Celebration of Life Musical will be held on Friday, July 10, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Triumph Baptist Church in Franklin.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday July 11, from 8 a.m. until funeral services beginning at 11 a.m., at the Triumph Baptist Church in Franklin, with the Rev. Carl Lewis officiating the services. Masonic Rites will also be conducted prior to funeral services. Burial will follow services in the Franklin Cemetery.
Memories of a long life well lived will forever be remembered and cherished in the hearts of his one son, Simon Daniels Jr. (Carolyn) of Columbia, LA; two daughters, Dorothy Gordon and Mary Ann Conley, both of Franklin; 34 grandchildren; 78 great grandchildren; 81 great great grandchildren; and three great great great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Simon was preceded in death by his wife; his parents, and two daughters.
