SOLLY MARVIN ROBISHEAUX JR.

Solly Marvin Robisheaux Jr., 62, a resident of Gibson, passed away in his home on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, surrounded by loved ones.
He was born Sept. 13, 1953, in Morgan City, the son of Solly Robisheaux Sr. and June Bonner Robisheaux.
Solly was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather and friend that will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was a true outdoorsman that enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 24 years, Patricia Ann Robisheaux of Gibson; parents, Solly Marvin Robisheaux Sr. and June Bonner Robisheaux; daughter, Melissa Rowland and husband Chris of Franklinton; brother, David Robisheaux and wife Donna of Gulfport, Mississippi; sisters, Beth Holley and husband Randy of Franklin, and Bridgette Basas of Morgan City; grandchildren, Jared Phelps, Jessica Patterson and Heather Patterson; one great-grandchild on the way; and numerous extended family.
Solly was preceded in death by his son, Mark Phelps; paternal grandparents, Solomon Robisheaux and Goldie Robisheaux; maternal grandparents, Emory Leonard Bonner Sr. and Lordsina Hebert Bonner; brothers, Neil Robisheaux and Garland Robisheaux; and sister, Mary Hill.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Solly will be inurned at a later date.
