Thelma L. Smith

Thelma L. Smith, 101, a native of Lake Charles and a resident of Morgan City, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Morgan City Healthcare at 2:50 p.m.
Visitation will be at Walmsley United Methodist Church in Morgan City on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, from 8 a.m. until funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Providence Memorial Park Cemetery, 8200 Airline Dr., Metairie, La. Officiating, the Rev. John Locasciro.
Ms. Thelma leaves to cherish her memory: a brother, Earl Washington of Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Betty (Frank) Caudle of Channelview, Texas; her nieces, Wanda (Cornel) Keeler of Morgan City and Denise Spencer of Lake Charles; her nephews, Emmett (Linda)Washington of Allen, Texas, Darryl McDaniel of Lake Charles, and Glenn Caudle of Channelview, Texas; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Tiffany Keeler of Morgan City, and Carmen Keeler, Justin Washington and Jarriel Washington, all of Houston; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Tre’Shaun Nunez and Jordyn Nesbitt, both of Morgan City, and Kaiden Keeler and Carson Washington, both of Houston; and a host of relatives and friends.
