TOMEKA REDNELL MARKS

Tomeka Rednell Marks, 35, a resident of New Orleans and native of Jeanerette, passed away on Monday April 27, 2015 at 6:25 a.m., at the University Medical Center in New Orleans.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday, May 9, at the Morning Pilgrim Baptist Church in Jeanerette, from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. Her uncle, Minister Lilton Marks Sr. will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the Morning Pilgrim Cemetery in Jeanerette.
Cherished and divine memories will forever be remembered by her parents, George and Betty C. Marks Sr. of New Orleans; two brothers, Wendell Marks of Jeanerette and George Marks Jr. of Beaumont, TX; a god-brother; five aunts, Mrs. Floyd ( Mary) Frank and Mrs. Polite (Irene) Nerve both of Jeanerette, Mrs. Clarence (Sheridon) Lewis of Baytown, TX, Mrs. Robert (Glenda) Smith of Beaumont, TX and Robbie Marks of Houston, TX; five uncles; as well as several other relatives and friends.
Tomeka was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, one uncle, and four aunts.
