VIOLET J. BOUDREAUX BROWNLEE

September 1, 1948 - October 7, 2016
Violet J. Boudreaux Brownlee, 68, a resident of Magazine, Arkansas, passed away Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, in her home surrounded by loved ones.
She was born Sept. 1, 1948, in New Orleans, the daughter of Earlis J. Boudreaux Jr. and Mollie M. Robertson Boudreaux.
Violet loved family, flowers, and gardening. She was extremely talented when it came to craftworks. She always had projects involving quilting, sewing, crocheting, and making decorative pieces. She was a member of Magazine Gardening Club. Violet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend that will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She is sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 52 years, Charles W. “Charlie” Brownlee of Magazine, Arkansas; daughter, Valrie Brownlee Emberson and grandson, Charley Micha Emberson of Magazine, Arkansas; sister, Vallie Winnett of Belt Buckle Tennessee; brothers, Ashby Boudreaux of McAlly, Alabama, and Thorn Boudreaux of Morris, Alabama; godchild, Kate Brownlee Rodriguez of Bayou Vista; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents, Earlis J. Boudreaux and Mollie M. Robertson Boudreaux; brother, Earlis J. Boudreaux III; sister, Sherlene Boudreaux Cunningham; and her beloved son, Robert Lee Brownlee.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at Twin City Funeral Home beginning at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held today, Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, at Twin City Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and resume Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at Twin City Funeral Home from 8 a.m. until the funeral service. Violet will be laid to rest at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery following services.
Pallbearers will be John Jones, Charles L. Brownlee, Jaymie Brownlee, Cody Brownlee, Jarred Brownlee, and Daniel Tillery; and Charley Emberson as an honorary pallbearer.
