Wallace M. Carline

Wallace Murray Carline, 83, passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. He was born Jan. 8, 1931, a native of Bayou Sorrel and was a longtime resident of Morgan City.
Visitation will be observed Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Morgan City. Funeral services will be held in the church at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at the Morgan City Mausoleum.
He is survived by his daughter, Paula Carline Swiber and her husband, Mike Swiber, of Morgan City; his son, Glenn Carline, of Morgan City; his daughter, Lisa Carline, of Berwick; his grandchildren, Scott Swiber, Mel Swiber, Patrick Swiber, Stephen Swiber, Kristen Carline, Wallace G. Carline and Mary Grace Carline; and one great-grandchild, Jonathan Swiber. He is also survived by his companion, Elaine Askew.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gracie Verret Carline; his parents, Clayton and Dora Carline; six brothers, Sam Carline, Evans “Pookie” Carline, Amos “T-Man” Carline, Calvin “Dinger” Carline, Stanley Carline and Carl “Tot” Carline; four sisters, Stella Carline Daigle, Fannie Carline Stokes, Viola Carline and Ann Carline Darnall; and one daughter, Pamela Carline.
Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
