WILLIE ‘MICKEY’ SMITH JR.

Willie “Mickey” Smith Jr., 64, a native and resident of Jeanerette, died Monday, October 13, 2014, at 8 a.m., at the Belle Teche Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in New Iberia.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 17 at the West St. Mary Civic Center, 1472 Hwy. 318 in Jeanerette.
Left to cherish Mickey’s memory are his two daughters, Mrs. Johnathan (Katina) Cole of Manvel, TX and Mrs. Joseph (SaBrina) Spencer of Youngsville; four brothers, Eugene (Judy) Smith and Rodney Talmore, both of Lafayette, Laray Smith of Four Corners and Micheal (Laurie) Smith of Beaumont, TX; four sisters, Mrs. Alton (Mathilda) Prejean of Carencro, Tonie Bradley of Dallas, TX, Mrs. Forrest (Julie) Vanderbilt of New Iberia and Mrs. Moses (Sharon) Key of Jeanerette; four grandchildren; his former wife and best friend, Cathene Smith of Jeanerette; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
