WYBRA ‘UNCLE CHOKE’ JACKO
Wybra “Uncle Choke” Jacko, 80, a resident of Jeanerette and a native of Charenton, passed away on Thursday July 9, 2015 at 4:40 a.m., at the Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday July 18, at the Jones Funeral Home in Franklin, from 8 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m., with his grandson, Minister Kevin Domingo, officiating the services. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Charenton.
Wybra was a Veteran of the United States Army with an Honorable Discharge.
“Choke”, as he was known to many, leaves to cherish his memories three sons, David Charles Jacko of Port Arthur, TX, Donald Ray Jacko (Patrice) of Slidell and Terry Anthony Jacko (Amanda) of Kingston, TX; one daughter, Lolita Ashwood of Katy, TX; one brother, Cephus Jacko of Houston, TX; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Wybra was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter; 12 other siblings; and two devoted friends.
