Morgan City Oilfield Fishing Rodeo set

The fourth annual Morgan City Oilfield Fishing Rodeo will be held May 7.
The event will feature four categories for anglers: redfish, bass, speckled trout and catfish derby.
Individual entries are $100 per boat, per category.
Additionally, sponsorship levels are available: Corporate sponsor, $500; gold sponsor, $1,000; and diamond sponsor, $2,500.
A corporate sponsorship includes one team entry for one category, while a gold sponsor includes a team entry for two categories. A diamond sponsor includes two team entries for all categories.
The deadline for entry forms and checks is April 15 at 8 p.m.
Fishing will be from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., and weigh-in will begin at 2 p.m. at the Patterson Area Civic Center.
A golf scramble will be held at 4 p.m. May 6 at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild.
In 2015, the rodeo donated more than $20,000 to higher education and charitable causes and paid out more than $13,000 cash in prize money to fishermen.
