BCG Services defeats Halimar Shipyard

Halimar Shipyard (Central Catholic) fell to BCG Services (Covenant Christian), 7-2, in Swampland League baseball action Tuesday in Amelia.
No individual stats were available for Halimar.
Halimar (0-1) will return to action today when it hosts Jester’s Court (Central Lafourche). Junior varsity action is set for a 5 p.m. start with varsity to follow at 7 p.m. The game originally was scheduled for Thursday.
TrimCo Millwork tops Skipper’s in extra innings
TrimCo Millwork and Supply edged Skipper’s Sporting Goods, 9-8, in eight innings in Swampland baseball action at Tiger Diamond in Morgan City Tuesday.
Jamey Fabre earned the win in relief and had the game-winning hit with an RBI-single in the top of the eighth.
Fabre, the last of three pitchers used, worked two innings and surrendered two walks and fanned three.
Offensively, he finished 1-for-4 with two RBIs and a run.
Skipper’s (Morgan City) took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, and the score remained the same until TrimCo Millwork (Patterson) tied the game at 4 in the top of the third.
Skipper’s (1-1) took a 6-4 lead in the bottom of the inning.
Each team scored a run in the fourth and fifth before TrimCo Millwork (1-1) plated single runs in the sixth and seventh to tie the game and force extra innings.
Other top offensive contributors for TrimCo Millwork included Christian Soria, 2-for-5, an RBI, a run and a stolen base; Brad Beaubouef, 2-for-5, two RBIs and a run; Brandt Lightsey, 1-for-3, an RBI and two runs; and Chad LaGrange, an RBI.
Soria started the game for TrimCo Millwork. In three innings, he surrendered six runs — all earned — on five hits with three walks, one hit batter and one strikeout.
No individual statistics were available for Skipper’s.

Crawdaddy’s Seafood
Taco Bell (Berwick) defeated Crawdaddy’s Seafood (Houma Christian), 9-3, in Swampland baseball action Tuesday on the road.
Taco Bell never trailed, jumping out to as much as a 7-0 lead after its at-bat in the top of the fourth.
While Crawdaddy’s cut its deficit to 7-2 after five innings and 8-3 after six complete, it could get no closer as Taco Bell added a run in the top of the seventh.
Bradley Gray led Taco Bell’s offense with a 2-for-4 performance with a double, a triple, two RBIs and a run. Other top offensive contributors included Cameron Wiley, 1-for-2, a home run, two RBIs and two runs; Grant Oubre, 2-for-3, a triple and two RBIs; D.J. Robicheaux, 2-for-2, a double, an RBI, two runs and a stolen base; Lucas Hatch, 2-for-3, a run and a stolen base; and Andrew Askew, 2-for-4, an RBI.
Oubre earned the win. In seven innings, he surrendered three runs — two earned — on five hits with five walks, one hit batter and fanned two.
