Berwick High recognizes athletes in spring sports

Berwick High School recognized athletes in spring sports during its athletic awards ceremony Tuesday at the Berwick Civic Complex.
Athletes were recognized in girls basketball, boys basketball, girls bowling, boys bowling, girls golf, boys golf, girls tennis, boys tennis, baseball, softball, girls track and field, boys track and field, girls powerlifting and boys powerlifting.
Athletes of the Year were named, while the Tommy Bourgeois Athletic Scholarship Award winners were given.
Scholar-Athletes and those earning Composite Academic All-State and Academic All-State honors also were recognized.
Below is a list of the award winners:

Girls Basketball
Captain’s Award: Brittany Boudreaux and Mickenzie Reed.
Panther Pride: Jenna Beiza.
Most Improved: Shelvy Ruffin.
Honorable Mention All-District: Jenna Beiza.

Boys Basketball
