Berwick and Morgan City High schools fell in volleyball action Tuesday. Thibodaux defeated Berwick 3-1 (23-25, 25-15, 16-25, 18-25) in nondistrict action, while Morgan City dropped a District 6-III contest to E.D. White 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-15). Berwick High School falls to Thibodaux

Berwick High School fell to Thibodaux High School 3-1 (23-25, 25-15, 16-25, 18-25) in nondistrict action in Berwick Tuesday.
Berwick had 87 digs, eight aces, 32 kills and five blocks in the loss.
Sydney Aucoin, Mary Jordan Melancon and Ashton Morales led the squad. Aucoin had 15 kills, one block and one assist, while Melancon recorded two aces, two kills, one block, 12 assists and 14 digs. Morales had one ace, eight kills, two blocks, seven assists and 19 digs.
Other top contributors included Brittany Roberie, 29 digs; Alyssa Gray, four kills, one block and six digs; and Rosalyn Gros and Emma Hover, each two aces and seven digs.
In junior varsity action, Berwick won 2-1 (25-9, 21-25, 15-6), while Berwick also took the freshman match 2-0 (25-12, 25-16).
Berwick (9-12) will return to District 6-III action Thursday when it travels to face Morgan City in the Lady Tigers’ Pink Game. Freshman action is set for 4 p.m. with junior varsity to follow at 5 p.m. and varsity at 6 p.m.
Morgan City falls
to E.D. White
The Morgan City Lady Tigers fell to E.D. White 3-0 (25-13, 25-15, 25-15) in District 6-III play Tuesday in Morgan City.
Kennedy Hebert led Morgan City with eight kills, two blocks and seven digs.
Other top contributors included Abby Reynaud, 13 assists, four digs and one ace; Cecily Feliciano, two kills and 10 digs; Brandi Albarado, one assist and 10 digs; and Alex Thompson, five kills and three digs.
In junior varsity action, Morgan City won 2-1 (26-24, 13-25, 15-12).
Morgan City had eight aces in the win.
Allie Vincent had four aces, six assists and six digs, while Sh’Diamond Holly had five kills.
Other top contributors included McKenzi Smith, two aces, two kills and five digs; Kaitlyn Gros, one ace and nine digs; Paige Loftin, one block and five digs; and Hannah Gros, one ace and five digs.
Morgan City (9-14 overall, 1-3 in district) will return to action Thursday when it hosts Berwick for its annual pink game matchup.
CCHS defeats
Covenant Christian
Central Catholic defeated Covenant Christian 3-0 (25-18, 25-10, 25-17) in District 6-V play on the road Tuesday.
Yani Johnson led Central Catholic with 12 kills, while Katie Hoffpauir added 15 assists, six digs and four aces.
Other top contributors included Quincee Wiggins, eight kills; Hallie Autin, seven kills and four aces; Lindsee Case, five kills; Taylor Picou, nine assists; Brooke Lipari, five digs; and Bayli Scully, three aces.
Central Catholic (13-18, 1-1) will return to action today when it hosts St. John in a varsity-only contest set for 4:30 p.m.
