Berwick, MCHS win in Friday night action

Berwick and Morgan City High schools were the Tri-City area's winners Friday night as Berwick improved to 2-0 and Morgan City, 1-1.
Berwick pulled away from Abbeville in the second half for a 35-14 victory. Berwick and Abbeville entered halftime tied at 14.
Meanwhile, Morgan City made a 7-0 lead stand for a victory against Sophie B. Wright in Morgan City.
At Patterson, the Lumberjacks slipped to 0-2 after falling 30-0 to Class 5A Hahnville Friday.
On Thursday night, Central Catholic fell to 1-1 on the season after falling to Opelousas Catholic, 34-27.
