CCHS baseball tournament schedule altered

Central Catholic's baseball tournament has been revised and now will be played just Saturday and Sunday.
Area action on Saturday includes Patterson vs. H.L. Bourgeois at 6 p.m., followed by Central Lafourche vs. Central Catholic at 8:15 p.m.
On Sunday, area action includes H.L. Bourgeois meeting Central Catholic at 9 a.m. and Ascension Catholic meeting Patterson at 1:30 p.m.
All games will be played at the Amelia Recreation Center.
The Central Catholic softball tournament, which was set to begin today and continue through Saturday, will just be held Saturday, weather permitting.
Saturday’s Tri-City area action includes Central Catholic facing Patterson at 11:15 a.m. on field two, Vandebilt Catholic meeting Patterson on
field two at 3:45 p.m. and Central Catholic facing West St. Mary at 6 p.m. on field two.
Elsewhere, Morgan City’s baseball game Thursday against Scotlandville at Plaquemine High School’s Sam Distefano Classic was cancelled as well as the team’s game today against Plaquemine at 6:30 p.m.
Morgan City Coach Barret Rey said this morning he was unsure what the weekend schedule would look like for his team in the tournament.
Also, Berwick will be participating in Chalmette’s tournament this weekend, but that schedule has been changed.
Weather permitting, Berwick will play Covington at 11 a.m. Saturday and on Sunday against John Ehret at 10 a.m. and Chalmette at 12:15 p.m.
