CCHS defeats Centerville

Central Catholic defeated Centerville High School 63-40 in action at E.D. White’s tournament Monday.
The Eagles outscored the Bulldogs in every quarter taking a 12-7 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 27-21 at the half and 46-29 after three quarters.
The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Eagles.
Stefano Guarisco led Central Catholic with 20 points, including five 3-pointers.
The Eagles knocked down seven for the game, which head coach Ree Case said was the most the team has made this year.
Other top scorers for Central Catholic included Jalen Johnson with 14 and Samarick Paul with 11.
On Saturday, the Eagles fell to Lutcher 66-55.
Paul led Central Catholic with 15 points, while Johnson had 14 points.
The Eagles made five 3-pointers in the contest.
Central Catholic will conclude action in the tournament today when it plays Terrebonne in the tournament’s final game at 8 p.m.
