CCHS' Guarisco named District 7-1A Offensive MVP

Central Catholic senior running back Stefano Guarisco led his team this year and ran through opposing defenses in District 7-1A.
For his efforts, he was honored not only as a first-team selection at running back but also as the District 7-1A Offensive MVP.
Guarisco is one of seven Eagles to make the first team. He was joined by three offensive linemen who helped paved the way for his successful season, offensive linemen Thomas Garber, D.J. Hebert and Mitchel Lemoine.
On defense, the Eagles had three first-team selections: defensive lineman T.J. Ruffin, linebacker Tanner Wiggins and defensive back Jalen Johnson.
Ten Eagles earned second-team all-district selections.
On offense, wide receiver Greg Leger, offensive linemen Cole Baker and Jesse Fontenot, Guarisco at return specialist and Bailey Badeaux at the utility position all represented Central Catholic.
On defense, the Eagles were represented by defensive linemen Blake Hidalgo and Dominique Skipper, linebackers Chris Singleton and Damarcus Mitchell and defensive back Sydney Holder.
Central Catholic’s honorable mention selections were quarterback Blake Byrne, defensive lineman Harold Ganaway and linebacker Charlie Ray Solar.
