Central Catholic baseball tournament begins Thursday

Central Catholic’s annual baseball tournament will begin Thursday and continue through Saturday.
The event will feature nine teams, including three of the four Tri-City area squads.
Along with host Central Catholic, Morgan City and Patterson will participate as well as Loreauville, Central Lafourche, Houma Christian, Ascension Catholic, Redemptorist and Catholic-Pointe Coupee.
While much of the action will be held at Central Catholic’s home field at the Amelia Recreation Department complex, two games will be played at Patterson High School.
Area action Thursday will begin when Morgan City meets Houma Christian at 3:15 p.m. at Patterson High School.
In Amelia, Ascension Catholic will meet Central Catholic at 5:30 p.m., while Houma Christian and Patterson will follow at 7:45 p.m.
On Friday in Amelia, Loreauville and Morgan City will meet at 3:15 p.m., while at 7:45 p.m., Catholic-Pointe Coupee and Central Catholic will meet.
At Patterson High Friday, Ascension Catholic and Patterson will meet at 5 p.m.
On Saturday, Catholic High-Pointe Coupee and Patterson will meet at 3:45 p.m., while Redemptorist and Central Catholic will play at 6 p.m. and Morgan City and Ascension Catholic at 8:15 p.m.
