Central Catholic, Patterson win Week 8 football contests

Two of four Tri-City area football teams were victorious in Week 8 as Central Catholic and Patterson picked up district victories.
Central Catholic topped Lafayette Christian 17-7 Thursday in District 7-1A play, while Patterson topped E.D. White 42-14 in District 9-3A action Friday.
In other Tri-City area action Friday, Berwick fell at Donaldsonville, 32-0, while South Terrebonne routed Morgan City, 42-7. Morgan City celebrated homecoming Friday night.
