Central Catholic's Rivas earns second-team all-district honors

Central Catholic senior standout Lydia Rivas led the Lady Eagles on the All-District 7-1A teams as she was named a second-team selection.
The Lady Eagles also were represented by sophomore Taylor Picou on the defensive team, while junior Hallie Autin and seventh grader Jalaysia Bertrand were honorable mention selections.
District champion Lafayette Christian swept the individual honors as senior Ajia Robinson was named Most Valuable Player and Errol Rogers, Coach of the Year. Robinson had per-game averages of 18 points, 5.4 rebounds, five steals and 2.6 assists. Rogers led Lafayette Christian to a 13-1 mark in district play.
Central Catholic had eight players earn academic all-district honors. They are: Picou, Rebecca David, Emma Aucoin, Caitlyn Picou, Lexi Landry, Rachel Rogers, Sydney Williams and Autin.
