Duo leads MCHS' district honorees

The Morgan City Lady Ti-gers were represented on the All-District 7-4A girls’ teams, including one first-team selection and the Coach of the Year.
Casey Chenevert was the Lady Tigers’ first-team selection, while first-year head coach Taylor Clark was named the district’s top coach.
Morgan City finished its season as district runner-up with a 5-3 mark.
The Lady Tigers had one second-team selection in Laqwaijhia Bourgeois and two honorable mention picks, Meya Morse and Alisha Singleton.
Vandebilt Catholic’s Cassi-dy Barrios was the district’s Most Valuable Player, while Ellender’s Sky Jasper was the district’s Defensive MVP.
