Hebert, Keller lead MCHS all-district softball honorees

The Morgan City Lady Tigers placed three softball players on the first-team All-District 7-4A squad and took two of three individual honors.
Pitcher Kennedy Hebert, catcher Scottie Metrejean and outfielder Dwanna LeBeau each were named to the first team.
Additionally, Hebert was named the District’s Offensive Most Valuable Player, while Morgan City coach Tamara Keller was named the district’s Coach of the Year.
Hebert recorded a hit in every game this season, while Keller led the Lady Tigers to an 8-2 mark and a district runner-up finish to Assumption.
Ellender third baseman Kaitlyn Moore was named the district’s Defensive MVP.
Morgan City had two second-team selections, third baseman Hannah Prado and outfielder Allie Vincent.
Mckenzie Smith, Matti Rivere and Gracie Verrett each earned honorable mention status for the Lady Tigers.
