Landry, Russo lead CCHS' All-District 7-1A selections

Central Catholic placed four members of its softball team on the All-District 7-1A team and shared the Most Valuable Player and Coach of the Year award.
Central Catholic pitcher Megan Landry was named Co-MVP along with Hanson Memorial’s Paige Diamond, while Central Catholic coach Joe Russo and Hanson Memorial’s Brittany Broussard were Co-Coaches of the Year.
Hanson and Central Catholic were co-champs in district.
Besides Landry, other first-team selections for the Lady Eagles were first baseman Bridgette Swan, second baseman Brittany Longman, and utility selection Kaitlyn Gros.
Central Catholic had two second team selections in shortstop Brooke Lipari and outfielder Taylor Picou.
Honorable mention selections for the Lady Eagles included Hallie Autin, Paige Thomas and Halley Romero.
