Morgan City High School honored athletes in football, volleyball and swimming at an awards ceremony Wednesday.
Below is a list of the award winners:
Football
Coaches Award: Scott Comeaux
Captains Award: James Bennett and Fred Ferguson
Co-Captains Award: Gage Gros and Ethan Scioneaux
Fighting Tiger Award: Frank Rangel and Scioneaux
Most Improved: Carson Marcantel (Offense) and Chris Gant (Defense)
Newcomer of the Year: Zachary Miller
All-District: Bennett (first-team offensive lineman), Comeaux (first-team return specialist), Gros (second-team defensive lineman), Alex Brocato (second-team defensive back), Ethan Scioneaux (honorable mention running back), Miller (honorable mention offensive line), Brandon Jones (honorable mention offensive line), Josh Nguyen (honorable mention kicker), Ferguson (honorable mention defensive lineman), Comeaux (honorable mention linebacker), Kalen Hillen (honorable mention linebacker) and Gant (honorable mention linebacker).
