MCHS' Jones named first team All-District

Staff Report

Morgan City High School had one representative on the All-District 7-4A boys first-team hoops squad.
Senior Jaylen Jones was named to the list.
The Tigers also had one second-team selection in sophomore Makye Richard, while honorable mention representatives for Morgan City were freshman Tywaun Walker, juniors Lloyd Singleton and Deondre Walker and senior Brady Fryou.
Morgan City finished the season as district runner-up with a 6-2 mark.
District champion Ellender swept the major honors as Leland Alexander was named Most Valuable Player, Curtis Anderson was Defensive Most Valuable Player and Cornell Scott was Coach of the Year.
