MCHS places 2 on first-team All-District 8-III squad; Berwick has 1

Morgan City and Berwick were represented on the All-District 8-III volleyball team, including two first-team selections for Morgan City and one for Berwick.
Morgan City sophomore middle hitter Sh’Diamond Holly and senior setter Abby Reynaud made the top squad along with Berwick senior outside hitter Sydney Aucoin.
Berwick had one second-team selection, junior libero Brittany Roberie.
Morgan City had two honorable mention selections, senior libero Katelyn Gautreaux and senior outside hitter Paige Loftin.
Berwick had two honorable mention choices, senior setter Mary Jordan Melancon and senior defensive specialist Rosalyn Gros.
District champion Vandebilt Catholic and runner-up E.D. White swept the individual honors. Vandebilt’s Greg Castillo is Coach of the Year, while Vandebilt Catholic junior outside hitter Emily Gautreaux is the district’s Offensive Most Valuable Player. E.D. White freshman outside hitter/setter Lila Bordis is the district’s Defensive Most Valuable Player.
