MCHS sets volleyball tryouts

Morgan City High School will hold volleyball tryouts in May, according to Coach Christy Theriot.
On May 18 from 3:15 to 5:30 p.m., any incoming freshmen and/or any interested student that will be attending the school for the first time in 2015-16 is invited to try out.
Tryouts will be held from 3 to 5:30 p.m. May 19 through May 21 for next year’s 10th- to 12th-graders.
Theriot said that an open gym will be available May 5, 7, 12 and 14 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. to those interested, but all participants must have an up-to-date physical. A copy of the current physical must be provided before stepping on the court. Physicals expire the last day of the month a year from the date it was taken.
Open gym is not mandatory; coaches will be observing, not coaching, she said.
Anyone trying out for volleyball must complete all required paperwork and have an up-to-date physical. Paperwork is available in the front office at Morgan City High.
All interested individuals need to attend all of the listed tryout days for their grade status.
