Patterson Lumberjacks sweep individual honors

District champion Patterson High School swept the individual honors on the All-District 8-3A football team.
The Lumberjacks’ Sirbatian Charles was named Offensive Most Valuable Player, while Nehemiah Augustus was named the district’s Defensive Most Valuable Player.
Patterson Head Coach Chad Blanchard was named the district’s Coach of the Year after leading the Lumberjacks to a 6-0 mark in district play.
The Lumberjacks had eight players selected for 10 spots on the first team. Augustus made the first team as a return specialist and defensive back, while teammate D.J. Jones was a first-team selection at running back and defensive back.
Charles made the top squad at quarterback and was joined by wide receiver Mykel Jones, offensive lineman Sean Stewart, defensive linemen Charlie Kelly and Tyric Garrett, and linebacker Blake Dreyer.
Berwick had one first-team selection, wide receiver Audwin Williams.
On the second team, the Panthers were represented by quarterback Collin Louviere, wide receiver Kenan Jones and defensive back Tanner Caldwell.
Patterson’s second-team selections included wide receiver Brennan Gouaux, offensive lineman Jaylon Johnson, return specialist D.J. Jones, Augustus at the athlete position, linebacker Dominique Washington and defensive back Shay Ragas.
Honorable mention selections for the Lumberjacks were Zachary Burke, Kenneth Washington, Tristen Ausama, K’hyri Harris, Christian Soria, Deondre Diggs, Dillon Giandelone, Aarion Hartman and Ragas.
Berwick’s honorable mention selections were Mitchell Sanford, Larenz Clark, Lionel Langley, Cooper Roussel, Cody Roberie, Brodi Mire and Blake Bergeron.
