Praxair defeats TrimCo, 13-5

Praxair defeated TrimCo Millwork and Supply, 13-5, in Swampland baseball action in Patterson Tuesday.
While Praxair (H.L. Bourgeois) took a 5-0 lead after the top of the second inning, TrimCo Millwork (Patterson) responded with three runs in the bottom of the third to cut its deficit to 5-3.
However, Praxair responded in the next two innings with three runs combined for an 8-3 lead.
TrimCo scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth but could get no closer. Praxair added five runs in the top of the seventh inning.
“Just not pitching and playing defense well enough to give ourselves a chance,” TrimCo coach Ryan Jensen said.
Joel Singleton suffered the loss for TrimCo. In three innings, he surrendered seven runs — four earned — on nine hits with four walks and four strikeouts.
Singleton also led the TrimCo offense as he finished 1-for-3 with a triple, an RBI and a run. Other top offensive contributors included Chad LaGrange, 1-for-3, two RBIs; Christian Soria, 1-for-1, an RBI, a stolen base and a run; and Brad Beaubouef, 1-for-4, an RBI.
TrimCo (1-4) will return to action Thursday when it travels to face Praxair. Junior varsity action is set for a 3:30 p.m. start, while varsity will follow at 5:30 p.m.
Taco Bell defeats
Associated Pump and Supply
Taco Bell used a surge in the later innings to defeat Associated Pump and Supply, 14-3, in Swampland Baseball League action Tuesday in Houma.
While Taco Bell led just 1-0 through four innings, the visitors scored three runs in the top of the fifth and two more in the top of the sixth for a 6-0 lead.
After Associated Pump and Supply scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth, Taco Bell responded with eight runs in the top of the seventh for a 14-2 advantage.
Associated Pump and Supply scored a run in the bottom of the seventh.

Austin Price led Taco Bell offensively with a 3-for-3 performance with an RBI, four runs and a stolen base. Other top offensive contributors included Bradley Gray, 2-for-4, four RBIs, a run and a stolen base; Lucas Hatch, 2-for-4, an RBI and two stolen bases; Kyle Boudreaux, 2-for-4, a run; Patrick Robertson, 1-for-1, an RBI and a run; Kyle Pitre, 1-for-4, an RBI and a run; Collin Kulka, an RBI and a run; and Andrew Askew, an RBI.
Denver Jenkins earned the win for Taco Bell. In five innings, he surrendered one hit, two walks, hit two batters and fanned five.
In junior varsity action, Associated Pump and Supply edged Taco Bell, 4-3.
Trailing 3-0, Associated Pump and Supply scored all four of its runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Taco Bell took a 1-0 lead after an inning and extended its advantage to 3-0 in the top of the third.
Shayne Berger led Taco Bell with a 1-for-2 performance with a stolen base. Other top offensive contributors included Zeph DeLatte, 1-for-2; Brett Williams, an RBI, a run and a stolen base; and Hunter Landry, an RBI.
Ryan Domingue suffered the loss in relief. In 2.2 innings, he surrendered four unearned runs on one hit with two walks, one hit batter and fanned one.
Evan Thomas started for Taco Bell. In two innings, he surrendered one hit, one walk and fanned one.
Taco Bell will return to action Thursday when it hosts Associated Pump and Supply. Junior varsity action is set for a 5 p.m. contest with varsity to follow at 7 p.m.
BCG Services defeats Skipper’s for Sports
BCG Services knocked off Skipper’s for Sports, 5-1, in Swampland Baseball action in Houma Tuesday.
BCG Services (Covenant Christian) took a 5-0 lead after three innings, and Skippers (Morgan City) scored its lone run in the top of the fifth.
Skipper’s was outhit 8-2.
Seth Canty led Skipper’s with a 1-for-1 performance with an RBI and a stolen base.
Logan Tingle suffered the loss. In six innings, he surrendered five earned runs on eight hits with three walks and one strikeout.
In junior varsity action, Skipper’s was victorious, 5-1.
While BCG Services took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, Skippers responded with three runs in the second and two more in the third for the final margin.
Chris Pitre earned the win. In four innings, he surrendered one earned run on four hits with two walks and five strikeouts.
Offensively, Cade Dupre led Skipper’s with a 1-for-2 performance with an RBI, a run and two stolen bases, while Kyle Ring added an RBI.
Skipper’s (2-3) will return to action Thursday when it hosts BCG Services. Junior varsity action is set for a 5 p.m. start with varsity to follow at 7 p.m.
Crawdaddy’s routs Halimar
Crawdaddy’s Seafood (Houma Christian) routed Halimar Shipyard (Central Catholic), 13-0, in six innings in Swampland baseball action in Amelia Tuesday.
No individual stats were available.
Halimar (1-3) will return to action Thursday when it travels to face Crawdaddy’s Seafood. Junior varsity action is set for a 3:30 p.m. start with varsity to follow at 5:30 p.m.
