Quartet leads MCHS all-district selections

Staff Report
Morgan City High School placed 11 members of its baseball team on the All-District 7-4A teams, including four on the first team.
Grant Perry, Nick Spinella, Evan Stadalis and Matt Lorenzo all made the top squad.
Perry and Spinella were selections at pitcher, while Stadalis made the squad as an outfielder and Lorenzo, a utility selections.
Morgan City’s second-team selections included Brady Fryou at first base, John Ross McNemar at shortstop, Phillip Hutchinson in the outfield and Scott Comeaux and Abram Hartley as utility selections.
The Tigers’ honorable mention selections were Gavin Spiese and Rhett Fryou.
District champion Assumption swept the top honors as Tyler Landry was named Most Valuable Player and Richard Abarr, Coach of the Year.
