Rain alters prep sports schedule

All but one area high school softball and baseball game scheduled for today have been cancelled.
The lone game that is going on as scheduled, Berwick's softball contest versus St. John of Plaquemine, has a change of venue, however, as the two teams now are meeting in Plaquemine instead of Berwick.
Meanwhile, Morgan City's softball contest with Patterson was washed out as was Central Catholic's district opener against Gueydan.
In baseball action, Central Catholic's game against Comeaux, Berwick's contest versus Riverside and Patterson's contest at Bonnabel all have been cancelled.
Berwick's game has been rescheduled for March 27 at 4:30 p.m., while Patterson's has been moved to April 8. Junior varsity will play at 4 p.m., followed by varsity at 6:30 p.m.
