Three of four area high school football teams win Friday

Three of the area's four Tri-City area football teams were victorious with Berwick, Patterson and Central Catholic winning on the gridiron.
Berwick (3-5) routed Haynes Academy 41-6 in nondistrict action to break a three-game losing streak, Patterson (6-2) won 43-22 against Erath in a battle of the last unbeaten teams in District 8-3A, and Central Catholic (7-1) pulled away the third quarter to beat Hanson Memorial, 52-22, in District 7-1A action.
In the lone out-of-town contest, South Terrebonne picked up its first win of the season with a 28-14 victory against Morgan City (4-4) in District 7-4A action.
