Tigers place 4 on All-District 7-II first team

Morgan City High School placed four members of its soccer team on the All-District 7-II first team.
Senior forward Irving Delgado, sophomore Brayan Aleman and defenders, sophomore Michael Mejia and senior Hector Calderon all made the elite squad.
The Tigers had six second-team selections, sophomore goalkeeper Daniel Valadez, junior defenders Trevor Beam and Carlos Calderon, sophomore midfielder Wilmer Lopez, junior midfielder Mario Sanchez and junior forward Miguel Perez.
Morgan City’s Edgar Calderon, Jared Gore, Tristin Mccullough, Quang Nguyen, Robert Prejeant, Fernando Torres and Cesar Zavala all were honorable mention selections.
Vandebilt Catholic swept the individual honors as Charles Doskey was Defensive Most Valuable Player, Zac Breaux was Offensive MVP and Paul Shenton was Coach of the Year.
