Tri-City area high school football scrimmages will begin Thursday

Tri-City area football teams will take their next step in preseason preparations as they participate in scrimmages beginning Thursday.
On Thursday, Central Catholic will host Covenant Christian at the Central Catholic practice field in a 5:30 p.m. scrimmage, while Patterson will travel to face St. James in a 6 p.m. contest.
On Friday, Morgan City will host Jeanerette at Tiger Stadium, while Berwick will host West St. Mary in Geisler Stadium. Both scrimmages are set for 6 p.m.
