Tri-City Baseball Classic adjusted
Inclement weather Wednesday has prompted the adjustment of some of the locations of games today at the inaugural Tri-City Baseball Classic.
No games will be played at Morgan City High School's Tiger Diamond, while three games now will be played at Central Catholic's home field at the Amelia Recreation Center.
Action began earlier today with New Iberia and Thibodaux, originally scheduled for a 3:15 p.m. start in Morgan City, being played at the same time in Amelia.
Meanwhile, the 5:30 p.m. contest between E.D. White and Rayne, scheduled for today at Tiger Diamond, now will be played Friday at 5:30 p.m. at Patterson's Lumberjack Diamond. That game will take the place of the originally scheduled game for that Friday time slot at Patterson between Central Catholic and Covenant Christian.
The Central Catholic-Covenant Christian contest has been moved to Tiger Diamond where it will be played in an open slot at 3:15 p.m. Friday.
Also, the 3:30 p.m. contest today at Patterson pitting Central Catholic and H.L. Bourgeois has been moved to Amelia and will be played at 5:30 p.m. today.
At 7:45 p.m. today, New Iberia and Covenant Christian will play in Amelia. That game originally was scheduled to be played at the same time in Patterson.
Instead, Morgan City and Central Lafourche, who were scheduled for today's nightcap at Tiger Diamond, will play at 7:45 p.m. in Patterson.
Other than the previously mentioned changes affecting the Central Catholic/Covenant Christian and E.D. White/Rayne contests, Friday's and Saturday's schedules and game locations are expected to remain the same.
