Tri-City tennis teams at state tournament

Morgan City, Central Catholic and Berwick’s tennis teams are at the state tournament in Monroe.
Inclement weather forced a delay in opening day action today, so matches will be played as the weather allows.
Berwick and Central Catholic had matches scheduled for today while Morgan City starts play Thursday.
Central Catholic’s Emma Thomas will compete in singles while the doubles’ teams of Lynze Belle and Lindsee Case, and Ashley Daigle and Brooke Picou also qualified for the tournament.
Morgan City qualified two girls’ doubles teams and one singles’ competitor for the state tournament.
MCHS qualified the doubles’ teams of Bailee Hoggatt and Krystina Pitre, and Niki Pennison and Jamie Scioneaux, as well as Harleigh Price in singles’ action.
Berwick has five girls and four boys for the state team.
The girls are Mary M. Sanford, Claire Parsiola, Olivia Orlando, Emma Gray and Allis Armato.
Boys qualifiers are Riley Credeur, Nate Furlette, Parker Felterman and Jeremy Boudreaux.
