Amador records 714 series in Morgan City Lady Tigers' win

Morgan City High School bowler Meghan Amador recorded a 714 series and the Morgan City Lady Tigers defeated Berwick 19-8 in high school bowling action Wednesday at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City.
Amador recorded games of 222, 248 and 244.
Other top Morgan City bowlers included Hannah Pipes, 557 series (180, 174, 203), Alyssa Rich (179) and Laura Nolazco (162).
Mickenzie Reed led Berwick with a 482 series (187, 137, 158), while Josie Estay had a 439 series (145, 165).
Takeisha Jones had a 415 series (181) and Shannon Derise recorded a game of 131.
In boys’ action Wednesday at Charlie’s Lanes, Berwick defeated Morgan City 23-4.
Quentin Kelly led Berwick with a 629 series (191, 171, 267), while Aaron Barrilleaux had a 599 series (172, 224, 203).
Other top scores for the Panthers included Christopher Beltran (212), Blake Bergeron (185, 190), Abram Gilder (166, 185), Mark Lemoine (169, 151), Brandon Lemoine (171), Christopher Beltran (212) and William Ledford (165).
Hau Vo led Morgan City with a 503 series (166, 157, 180).
Other top scores turned in by Morgan City included Jayson Hidalgo (198, 171), Jason Myers (168, 168), Zachary Stewart (179), Jonathan Jones (159) and Gage Hirschmann (158).
In Houma, the Central Catholic Lady Eagles fell to Terrebonne 20-7.
Emily Price led Central Catholic with a 460 series (133, 140, 187), while Ann Mary Dupuis added top games of 145 and 139 and Katrina Robertson, 134.
In boys’ action at Creole Lanes Wednesday, Central Catholic’s boys fell to Terrebonne 26-1.
Leaders for Central Catholic included Josh Abney (197, 152), Kyle Autin (166) and Hunter LeBlanc (142).
