Johnson wins football contest

Leroy Johnson of Patterson missed only one of 17 games in The Daily Review Football Contest to win top honors at the $40 first-place prize.
There was a three-way tie for second place between Eric Cortez of Morgan City, Donald Lajaunie of Morgan City and Carrie Johnson of Patterson. They win $7 each.
The second-place winners each correctly picked UCLA to defeat Arizona and each missed the actual score by nine points.  UCLA won 31-26. Lajaunie predicted the score at 34-20, Cortez at 28-20 and Johnson 27-21.
