Local wrestler Mustang Mike wins NWA national heavyweight title

Local wrestler Mustang Mike won the NWA national heavyweight championship Saturday at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium, defeating defending champion Greg Anthony.
While Mustang Mike originally was scheduled to face defending NWA world heavyweight wrestling champion Jax Dane, Dane was not able to attend due to illness.
In front of 900-plus, Mustang Mike and Anthony, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, fought in a steel cage in the main event.
Mustang Mike won the title after hitting his finishing move, the Boom drop.
Anthony and Mustang Mike will meet again this weekend in a rematch in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
