Louisiana is eliminated at AAA Dixie Youth World Series

Louisiana was eliminated from the AAA Dixie Youth World Series Monday evening, falling to North Carolina, 6-5.
No individual statistics were available this morning for the 10U Franklin-based Louisiana champions.
North Carolina will continue elimination play today against Florida.
Louisiana finished World Series play with a 1-2 mark, falling in its opener to Florida, 14-4, Saturday before eliminating the host, Laurel, Mississippi, 6-5, Sunday.
In Majors (12U) action, Louisiana also was eliminated by North Carolina, falling 4-3 Monday.
Louisiana’s state champions, which hail from Ville Platte, finished the tournament 1-2, falling in its opener to host Laurel, Mississippi, before rebounding with an 11-1 victory against Virginia.
North Carolina will continue tournament action today in the elimination bracket when it faces Texas.
