MC 12s finish 0-2 at regional

The Morgan City 12-year-old All-Stars finished 0-2 at the Louisiana Dixie Youth Majors North Regional in Franklin this weekend.
While the squad was rained out Friday, on Saturday, Morgan City fell to DeQuincy 14-11 before dropping a 7-2 contest to Franklin Sunday.
In Saturday’s game, Morgan City was up 7-1 after three innings before DeQuincy came back for the eventual win.
Taylor Blanchard and Nathan Hebb each homered in the contest, while William LaRocca, Michael-Anthony Hill and Luke Barbier each had hits.
On Sunday, Morgan City was limited to three hits in the loss to Franklin.
St. Mary Central wins opener
Like the North Regional, St. Mary Central’s 12-year-old All-Stars’ opener at the Louisiana Dixie Youth Majors South Regional Friday was rained out.
However, on Saturday, St. Mary Central defeated Jefferson 10-0.
St. Mary Central was scheduled to return to action against Minden.
