MC AA All-Stars rout Buckeye

The Morgan City AA All-Stars won their Louisiana Dixie Youth AA State Tournament in West Monroe Thursday with a 14-0 victory against Buckeye.
Jamyre Bias led the team with a 2-for-3 performance with a home run, a triple and four RBIs. Other top offensive contributors included Maddox Justilian, 2-for-2; Chaz Pickens, 2-for-3, two RBIs; Landyn Ramagos, 2-for-3; Lucas Pickens, 1-for-3, a triple and three RBIs; and Jade Oliney, Ja’Kavior Kemp, Tate Fontenot and Jackman Lind, all 1-for-2.
Morgan City returned to action today when it faced Oakdale Americans this morning, while the squad faced Shreveport this afternoon.
After pool play, Morgan City either will continue on to the double elimination bracket with a shot at the world series if the squad can finish either at the top of its pool or emerge from a playoff of second-place teams or it will head to a single-elimination consolation bracket.
