Morgan City and St. Mary Central’s 8-year-old all-stars ended their seasons this past weekend at the Louisiana Dixie Youth 2015 AA State Tournament in Vidalia. MC, SMC 8s end seasons at state tournament

Morgan City finished 2-3 and St. Mary Central, 0-3-1, both at the Louisiana Dixie Youth 2015 AA State Tournament in Vidalia last week.
Morgan City fell 1-0 to West Monroe East in its first game Thursday night.
On Friday, Morgan City fell 15-6 to Benton.

Jade Oliney, Thomas Mancuso, Carter Whipple and JaKavior Kemp, each a run
They bounced back later Friday with a 16-5 victory against Westlake.
Brandon Cordero led Morgan City with three runs, while Gregory Hamer, Bennett, Kyle Stansbury, Oliney and Whipple each scored two runs. Mancuso, Shamus LaCoste and Kemp each scored a run.
Morgan City closed out Friday with a 12-10 win against Alexandria American.
Ben Case, Cordero and Bennett led Morgan City as each scored two runs. Hamer, Stansbury, Bodie Hoffpauir, Whipple, Kemp and Lucas Pickens each scored a run in the win.
Morgan City fell in its tournament finale to Alexandria Nationals, 13-8.
Cordero and Bennett each scored two runs to lead Morgan City, while Hamer, Stansbury, LaCoste and Pickens each scored a run.
On Thursday, St. Mary Central fell to Minden Continental, 10-0.
Austin Davis led St. Mary Central with a 1-for-1 performance with a double, while Kaleb Leonard was 1-for-2.
On Friday Morning, Pineville defeated St. Mary Central 10-0.
Zac Kitchen led St. Mary Central with a 2-for-2 performance, while Davis was 1-for-1. Grant White, Thomas Nini, Drake Rock and Leonard all were 1-for-2.
Later Friday, St. Mary fell to EORD 13-1.
Davis led the team with a 1-for-1 performance with a double and a run, while Leonard was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Other top hitters included White, 1-for-2, a double; and Rock, 1-for-1.
St. Mary Central closed out Friday’s action with a 10-10 tie against DeRidder.
Nini led the squad with a 3-for-3 performance with a home run, two RBIs and three runs, while Jason Matthews was 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, four RBIs and a run.
Other top offensive contributors included Kitchen, 3-for-3, two doubles and three runs; Rock, 2-for-3, two RBIs and a run; Ian Thorguson, 2-for-3, an RBI; White, 2-for-3, two runs; Eli Lodrigue, 2-for-3; and Maddox Brinlee, 1-for-2, an RBI.
On Saturday, St. Mary Central fell to Moss Bluff, 13-1.
White led St. Mary Central with a 2-for-2 performance, while Henry Thorguson was 2-for-2.
Other top offensive contributors included Kitchen, 1-for-1, a double and a run; Rock, 1-for-1; Leonard, 1-for-2; and Ian Thorguson, an RBI.
