Patterson 10s finish 1-3 at district tournament

The Patterson 10-year-old All-Stars finished 1-3 at the AAA District 3 Tournament at Caffery Park in Franklin.
Patterson lost to Franklin in its opener Friday before defeating Thibodaux Saturday. The squad fell to St. Mary Central Sunday and Morgan City, Monday.
Against Franklin, Josiah Jennings and Collan St. Germain led Patterson as each finished 2-for-2. Other top hitters included Austin Perkins, Fred Mosley and Cooper Ashley, all 1-for-1; and Drew Dinger and Jonathon Picou, each 1-for-2.
Allen Everitt started for Patterson, while Drake Dinger and Drew Dinger also pitched in the contest.
Against Thibodaux, Roy Jones started for Patterson, while Drew Dinger finished the game.
Perkins and Drew Dinger led Patterson as each finished 3-for-3 with two RBIs, while Everitt was 3-for-3.
Other top offensive players were Mosley, 2-for-3, two doubles and an RBI; Jennings, St. Germain and Jones, each 2-for-3, an RBI; Dylan Verrett, 2-for-2; Jones, 2-for-3; and Ashley and Alex Haven, each 1-for-1.
Against St. Mary Central, St. Germain started on the mound while Picou and Drew Dinger also pitched.
At the plate, Jones and Picou each finished 1-for-1.
In its tournament finale against Morgan City, Jennings led Patterson with a 3-for-3 performance with two triples, while Drew Dinger was 3-for-3 with a triple and Everitt was 3-for-3 with a double.
Other top offensive contributors included Mosley, 2-for-3, a double; St. Germain, 1-for-3, a double; and Picou, 1-for-3.
Perkins started for Patterson, while Mosley and Drew Dinger also pitched.
