Patterson 10U softball team wins 19-7

The Patterson 10U All-Stars exploded for 16 runs in two big innings to upend Hamburg, Arkansas, 19-7 Thursday at the Babe Ruth Southwest Regional in Magnolia, Arkansas.
The game was tied at three going into the top of the third inning when Patterson scored nine runs to break the game open 9-3. But the All-Stars weren’t done, scoring seven more runs in the fourth inning to force the game to be called.
Hilary Pillaro, Bryleigh DeHart, Mikah Ortiz, Ana Vaccarella and Olivia Black all scored three runs while Addie Lovell and Hailey Skiles scored two runs each.
Hamburg was the state runner-up in Arkansas.
Pillaro got the win in the circle for Patterson. She pitched a complete game, surrendering eight hits with six strikeouts.
Patterson plays Broken Bow, Oklahoma, today at 1 p.m. This is a must-win game for Patterson in the double-elimination tournament. The team took a 7-3 loss on Wednesday against host team Magnolia, Arkansas.
