Patterson finishes weekend 2-0; Team begins bracket play today at 1 p.m.

The Patterson 10U Softball All-Stars secured the No. 3 seed following pool play at the Babe Ruth World Series in Jensen Beach, Florida, and began bracket play this afternoon in the World Series bracket.
Patterson, which finished 2-0 in pool play, will face Pitt County, North Carolina, the defending 10U World Series Champions, today at 1 p.m. at Justin Wilson Field in Palm City, Florida.
Pitt County, the fifth seed, advanced to the World Series bracket after knocking off the New Jersey Lasers, 9-0, this morning in a play-in game to the World Series bracket.
Patterson received a bye into the World Series bracket.
In pool play, Patterson defeated Litchfield Blast, a New Hampshire-based squad who qualified as an invitational team, 16-5, Saturday, before knocking off the Midwest Regional champion, Iowa-based Big Bend Lady Bucks, 5-0 Sunday.
Against Big Bend, Patterson scored a run in the first, two in the second and two in the sixth.
Emily Lipari and Laila Dugar combined for a three-hitter in the win. Lipari earned the win as she pitched five innings and surrendered three hits, walked three and fanned eight. In one inning of relief, Dugar surrendered a hit, walked two and fanned two.
Offensively, Patterson outhit Big Bend, 7-4.
Amaya Williams led Patterson with a 2-for-4 performance with a double and an RBI. Other top offensive contributors included Charlotte Callais, 1-for-2, three runs and a stolen base; Emily Lipari, 1-for-2, a run and a stolen base; Madison Gray, 1-for-3, a double; Kamille Lightfoot, 1-for-3, a stolen base; Bryleigh DeHart, 1-for-4, a double and an RBI; Layla Richoux, a run and two stolen bases; and Laila Dugar, a stolen base.
Against Litchfield, the New Hampshire squad took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second, but Patterson exploded with 10 runs in the top of the fourth for a 10-1 lead.
While Litchfield scored a run in the bottom of the fourth, Patterson scored six runs in the top of the sixth for a 16-2 advantage.
Litchfield scored four runs in its final at bat for the final margin.
Patterson only had six hits but walked 10 times, while Litchfield pitching hit Patterson batters three times. The New Hampshire squad also committed four errors, while Patterson had one miscue.
Offensively, Rylie Chiasson led Patterson with a 2-for-4 performance with four RBIs, a stolen base and two runs. Other top offensive contributors included Hannah Domingue, 1-for-2, a run and a stolen base; Williams, 1-for-3, an RBI, two stolen base and two runs; DeHart, 1-for-3, an RBI, a stolen base and two runs; Lipari, 1-for-4, two runs, a stolen base; Gray, two RBIs and a run; Richoux and Lightfoot, each an RBI and a run; Theriot, an RBI; Callais, two runs and two stolen bases; and Dugar, two runs.
