Galliano bridge closing for repairs

GALLIANO, La. (AP) — Officials in Lafourche Parish say the pontoon bridge over Bayou Lafourche will close to vehicle traffic beginning Monday for repairs and maintenance.
The bridge is expected to close at 7 a.m. and will remain closed to vehicles for 3 to 4 days. It is expected to reopen to marine traffic later on Monday.
Alternate routes for vehicles are the South Lafourche Bridge to the north or the Golden Meadow Bridge to the south.
