World War II warplanes coming to Lake Charles , New Orleans

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — Three World War II warplanes will be on display at Lake Charles Regional Airport for three days in March.
As part of the Collings Foundation's Wings of Freedom Tour, the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress "Nine O Nine," Consolidated B-24 Liberator "Witchcraft" and P-51 Mustang "Flyer" will be on display March 10 to 12.
The Wings of Freedom tour also includes a stop March 7 to 9 at Lakefront Airport in New Orleans.
Hunter Chaney, Wings of Freedom marketing director, said the organization is celebrating its 25th anniversary operating the tour of World War II bomber and fighter aircraft.
"Touring through and flying in these amazing aircraft is an experience in WWII history you will never forget," Chaney said in an email. "WWII veterans and the general public will be on-hand to welcome the tour to Lake Charles."
The airplanes will arrive March 10.
They will be open for public touring at a charge of $12 for adults and $6 for children. World War II veterans can tour for free.
Tours are available from noon-5 p.m. on March 10, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on March 11 and 9 a.m.-noon on March 12.
Heath Allen, the airport's executive director, said airport staffers are excited about the visit.
"If you are an aviation guru, it doesn't get better than this. They are very neat airplanes," he said.
Those interested can reserve a 30-minute flight in the aircraft for a charge — $450 on the B-17 or B-24 and $2,200 for the P-51.
